Quality Assurance Coordinator - New York
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for quality assurance for the company’s localization translation products.
- Manage QA processes and prepare quality test plans.
- Evaluate and analyze to improve existing QA processes and test plans.
- Design advanced test scripts, both manual and automated; manage developing testing tools.
- Develop scripts for adding functionality for managing translation portal software.
- Advise/recommend software developers to improve translation software.
- Direct QA team consist of five (5) QA engineers; set standards and lead them on-site and off-site.
- Advise localization teams on preparing localization bids and proposals.
- Develop QA training programs; train both technical and non-technical employees.
- Serve as a technical QA testing expert for sales teams, participating in customer sales meetings, doing presentations about localization QA and testing methodologies as well as localization product demos.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 5 years experience (as alternative, software engineer/test engineer/QA engineer acceptable)
Expertise/ Software tools required:
- Proficiency in open source codes (Java, JavaScript, Visual Studio, .NET, and VBScript).
- Knowledge of localization tools (SDLX, Trados, SDL Translations Management System, SDL MultiTerm, Alchemy Catalyst).
- Knowledge of testing tools (TestTrack Pro, DevTrack, Watson, Rational ClearQuest, Microsoft Product Studio 11, Bugzilla).
