Elizabeth Elting
Co-CEO
Liz Elting is the Co-CEO of TransPerfect. Elting holds a BA in Modern Languages and Literatures from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business. Elting has received numerous awards for her outstanding entrepreneurship including Working Woman magazine’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for
Customer Service, the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Inc. 500 Award, and the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 Award four times. Elting was selected Woman of the Year by American Express and Entrepreneur. In 2006 and 2007, TransPerfect was named one of the largest privately-held companies by Crain’s New York Business. During those same years, Crain’s also named TransPerfect one of the largest women-owned companies. In 2007, Entrepreneur and the Women Presidents’ Organization jointly named TransPerfect one of the top 20 fastest-growing women-led companies in the US. In 2008, Crain’s New York Business placed TransPerfect in the top ten list of women-owned companies and Entrepreneur and the Women Presidents’ Organization named TransPerfect one of the 50 fastest-growing women-owned/led businesses in North America.
Elting is profiled in several books including The New York Times bestseller "Succeed by Your Own Terms" (McGraw-Hill), "Leadership Secrets of the World's Most Successful CEOs" (Dearborn Trade Publishing), and "Straight Talk About Starting and Growing Your Business" (McGraw-Hill). She is featured regularly in the media, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Crain's New York Business. Elting lectures regularly at New York University's Stern School of Business, Columbia Business School, and NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners). Elting is an active member of YPO (Young Presidents' Organization) and ABNY (The Association for a Better New York).

Phil Shawe
Co-CEO
As the Co-CEO of TransPerfect, Phil Shawe orchestrated the company’s growth from a single office start-up to an industry leader. Today, Shawe continues to manage the day-to-day operations of TransPerfect. Shawe has received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Inc. 500 Award, and has been the recipient of the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 Award four times. In 2006 and 2007, TransPerfect was named one of the largest privately-held companies by Crain's New York Business.
Prior to his career in the language services industry, Shawe was a Financial Analyst at Chemical Bank and a Global Custody Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Shawe holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business, and he received his BS from the University of Florida where he triple majored in Finance, Marketing, and Risk Management. The recipient of numerous awards, Shawe has spoken at New York University and Columbia University. The company has been featured in The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and USA Today. Shawe is a member of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY).

Brooke Christian
Senior Vice President of Global Sales
A. Brooke Christian is Senior Vice President of Global Sales for TransPerfect, the world's largest privately-held translation firm, which operates out of 50 offices on four continents. Christian, who is based in Washington DC, joined the firm shortly after it was founded in 1992. He has directed the company’s sales and marketing initiatives through a period of unprecedented growth.
Today, he is responsible for generating revenues exceeding $150 million. Christian’s ability to accurately predict areas of global growth within specific industries has positioned him as an industry leader. He directs a 300-person sales team worldwide and is responsible for the strategic approach to marketing that has set TransPefect apart in the translation arena. Most recently, Christian has focused his efforts on emerging markets in Asia and the Middle East. Christian speaks frequently at professional associations and meetings on issues affecting global growth and solutions-based marketing strategies. He has a Master's in Sports and Business Management and a BS in Business Administration, both from the University of Florida.

Mark Peeler
Vice President of Global Production
Mark Peeler joined TransPerfect in 1997, bringing with him expertise in managing large scale, on-going projects. Currently, Peeler manages TransPerfect's staff of dedicated professionals that make up the company's Global Production team, including industry-specific departments, the interpretation coordination division, and the multilingual desktop publishing division. Peeler's unwavering attention to precision and efficiency, as well as his ability to create highly effective project teams, has enabled TransPerfect to constantly exceed clients' expectations for quality and service. Peeler has a BA from Duke University, where he triple majored in English, History, and Political Sciences.

Angela O'Sullivan
Vice President of European Operations
Angela O'Sullivan launched her TransPerfect career in the company's Dallas office in 1998. There, she played a vital role in expanding its client base, which led to the opening of TransPerfect's Houston office in 2000. In 2001, O'Sullivan moved to TransPerfect's Miami office to continue her role as Regional Sales Manager, allowing her to manage sales teams in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, San Diego, and Seattle. She now leads the European sales and production teams in TransPerfect's European headquarters in London where she oversees all European offices and expansion. O'Sullivan has a BA in German and Business from the University of Florida.

Kevin Obarski
Vice President of US Sales
Kevin Obarski, Vice President of US Sales, joined TransPerfect's Atlanta office in 2001 as a Director of Business Development. Within months, Obarski was generating record-breaking revenues. His impressive sales performance was matched by an outstanding ability to motivate and lead other members of the TransPerfect sales team. Today, he oversees a full staff of regional directors, directors of business development, and account managers in TransPerfect's key US offices. Prior to joining TransPerfect, Obarski was Corporate Sales Manager for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA. He holds a BA from the University of Florida with a double major in Finance and Management.

Michael Sank
Vice President of Corporate Strategy
Michael Sank joined TransPerfect as a salesperson in 1997 when he opened the Los Angeles office. He subsequently led the company’s global expansion as Vice President of International Operations, during which time he lived in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, and Hong Kong, managing all sales and production in Europe and Asia. In his current role, in addition to partnerships and other strategic ventures, Sank manages M&A activity – including the company’s mergers with Crimson, ArchiText, and iSP. Working with incoming management, he has contributed to the integration, employee retention, growth, and overall success of these merger partners within the TransPerfect framework. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA).

Roy B. Trujillo
Chief Operating Officer
Chief Operating Officer, Roy B. Trujillo, has been with TransPerfect since 1999, bringing with him significant experience in areas related to the needs of the rapidly growing family of companies. Prior to his employment with TransPerfect, Trujillo served as President and CEO of Leona's Foods, Inc. During his time there, his efforts were largely responsible for transforming a small regional company into a national supplier of high-quality natural food products. The products developed and manufactured by LFI were sold under company owned brands as well as most of the nation's largest retailer's private label programs. Prior to his time at Leona's Foods, he held various technical and management positions at IBM, SBC Communications, and Chase Investment Services. Trujillo earned an MBA in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies at New York University's Stern School of Business, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University.

Marc H. Miller
Vice President of Quality Systems
President of Crimson Life Sciences Division
Marc H. Miller is President of the Crimson Life Sciences Division and Vice President of Quality Systems for TransPerfect. Originally founded in 1992, Crimson became part of the TransPerfect family of companies in 2005, and is the only translation organization in the world to be ISO 14971:2000-certified and hold certifications to both ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003. Prior to founding Crimson, Miller worked as a Senior Research Associate for the strategy consulting firm, S.I.A.R, where he authored assessments for US and European medical technology companies. Miller earned his MBA degree in Marketing from the Scottish Business School at Stirling University, Scotland, and his BA degree in Celtic Languages and Literature from Harvard University.

Mark Hagerty
Chief Technology Officer
Prior to joining TransPerfect in 2003, Mark Hagerty was the Director of Software Development at eTranslate, directing the development of the industry leading GMS technology that was eventually acquired by Translations.com. Prior to that Hagerty worked for eight years as a senior software engineer and manager at Adobe Systems, Inc. Hagerty was in charge of merging the internal customer databases and customer support systems when Adobe acquired Aldus in 1994. He was also one of the developers of the Adobe Type-On-Call product and was a key member of the teams that implemented Peoplesoft and SAP internally. Hagerty has 20 years of software development experience and is responsible for the technology vision and solutions that make TransPerfect and Translations.com an industry leader. Hagerty holds a BS in Mathematics and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Yu-Kai Ng
Chief Information Officer
Yu-Kai Ng joined TransPerfect in 2005. Under his direction, TransPerfect has successfully increased operational efficiency in pace with its rapid global expansion, and has effectively aligned IT investments with strategic business objectives across the TransPerfect Family of Companies. Prior to joining TransPerfect, Yu-Kai started a technical consulting practice whose clients included IBM and Siebel Systems. He has also held technical leadership positions at Respond.com, Full Circle Software, Puma Technology and Adobe Systems. Yu-Kai has a BA in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jordan Ellington
VP of Legal Technology
Founder of Deal Interactive Division
Jordan Ellington joined TransPerfect in April 2007 as Vice President of Legal Technology. As the founder of TransPerfect’s Deal Interactive division, Ellington brings over 20 years of application development experience designing systems for the corporate, financial and legal vertical markets. Since 1993 he has developed many internal and client-facing applications for major corporate, financial services and law firms, as well as developing the extranets of three of the top twenty U.S. law firms. In 1998, he was a recipient of the American Express Chairman's Award for Quality. In 1999, he founded Deal Interactive to service the secure document hosting and collaboration needs of global businesses, and to this day, continues to drive software development and manage the day-to-day operations of the business.
